Our Test Facilities
It is our opinion that many organisations take unnecessary risks when testing software due to the lack of suitable resources such as:
- Experienced test engineers
- Specialist tools
- Dedicated test environments
At Target Testing, we can mitigate these risks by conducting the testing in our dedicated UK-based test facilities.
Our facilities contain a range of client and server machines as well as networking equipment that can be configured to simulate a wide range of environments. Our facilities also include a range of operating systems and application software including:
- Windows client operating systems from Windows NT 4 through to Windows XP and Windows Vista.
- Windows server operating systems from Windows NT Server through to Window 2003 server.
- A wide range of Linux Operating Systems.
- Apple Mac OS X.
- Industry standard database applications such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Industry standard web-server applications such as MS IIS, Bea Websphere, Apache Tomcat, JBoss etc.
- Mainstream versions of browser software including screen readers and text to speech browsers.
- A number of test automation tools.
So if your application runs on any combination of the above we can probably test it at our facilities. If you need something a little more exotic then we are always happy to discuss your needs and offer solutions.
Our ITIL based processes ensure we can deploy an environment in a controlled and repeatable manner. More information about IT Infrastructure Library can be found on the ITIL website.
Security
Security is always a concern when allowing an external company access to your software and data, which is why we are currently working towards implementing an Information Security Management System in accordance with the British and international standards for Information Security (ISO/IEC 27001). ISO 27001 is a comprehensive standard dealing with Information Security and contains a significant number of control requirements to ensure due diligence has been applied to securing and protecting the information held within an organisation.
Achieving this level of certification is an arduous task but we are committed to achieving certification during the first quarter of 2010.
For more information about ISO 27001, please refer to the British Standards website.
